Buy Photos of Yourself and Study Them

By all means, if you really are set upon self improvement, buy photos of yourself at competitions, and study them against an idealized version of how you aspire to ride.


Over time you will see a consistency in your position, horse after horse, time after time, that you will either find comforting or disturbing, and it will give you "markers" to help you improve, if you need and want to.

I absolutely acknowledge that there is so much more than having an orthodox jumping position involved in the long quest to becoming a good rider.

HOWEVER----If in photo after photo that you see of yourself, you resemble a wounded frog flai
